I just puchased a JD955 1994 755hrs HST 4X4 with a 72" belly mower, weight box, and #380 front blade. All for 13,500. I don't think this was a steal but I don't think I got ripped-off either. How did I do? The tractor appears to have been well cared for and the seventy-two year old owner said it never has even been out in the rain.

Seems like a good price for a well-kept tractor with nice set of implements. Mike, how do you like the 380 front blade? I just purchased a turf-tired JD955 and found a used 380 front blade. Haven't attached it (don't have a manual for it yet either) but I'm anxious to find out how useful it might be. ....

Hi Bradley, I haven't had the chance to try out the blade yet but I'm sure it will come in handy for plowing snow this winter. This one came with a top side extension which adds about 7 inches to the height of it. Without the ext the snow would probably come right over the top of it.
I have the manual for the blade and after reading through it, I think the instructions for attaching the blade to the tractor make the job sound harder than it should be. I think I'm just going to examine where everything needs to be and do it my way. This is easy to say now because I haven't tried it yet.
Maybe I'll end up doing it just the way they suggest.
